I approach each of my sessions with the aim to ensure that my client feels better at the end of the session than at the beginning. My role is to guide my clients through their issues and show them the tools required for them to lead healthy, happy and productive lives when our sessions end.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are but tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
Creating a therapeutic environment that is warm and nurturing is one of my strengths. Providing a safe and supportive atmosphere and developing a trusting relationship with my client is the foundation of my work.
I work with my client to solve problems and find opportunities together. Everyone needs to talk now and then to an objective person to gain clarification and insights into what they are going through. Sometimes one session is enough because talking is therapy in itself. Other times my clients require a few sessions until they feel strong enough and are well-equipped to move on and live their lives with a sense of empowerment, happiness and purpose.
Together we establish goals and develop a plan that emphasises my client’s strengths and capabilities and reinforces effective coping skills. We work collaboratively to increase client confidence and their sense of well-being both within our sessions and in everyday life.
Every client is a different individual who deserves to be treated with respect, dignity and empathy. I provide a safe, comfortable, non-judgemental environment for my client where we can both explore and work out how to approach the issues at hand.
I am practiced in all types of methodologies and I specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness Therapy. Both are perfect for dealing with issues like anxiety, depression, addictions, relationship issues, family issues and general life issues.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, taking my dog for long walks and riding my bike.
