My counselling and therapy approach is kind, respectful, genuine, accepting and understanding, no matter what issues you’re struggling with.
I am passionate about your personal growth, wellness and helping you develop the confidence to reach toward your full potential.
I have been coaching, mentoring and counselling youth, children and adults for over 10 years and strive to help people find inner peace and tranquillity. I have a post graduate degree in counselling and a certificate IV in drugs and other alcohol and extensive couples counselling training.
I believe that no two clients are exactly alike, and for this reason I utilise an integrative approach, tailoring the sessions to best assist each client and use a number of approaches including: strength based, person centred and solution focused therapies, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and mindfulness.
I have worked as a counsellor in government and community organisations and I have also co-facilitated parenting after separation groups, community education courses on anger management, anxiety and depression, and creating capable leaders programs. I also run a weekly men’s support group aimed to help men to learn to express themselves better. I have extensive training and experience in the family violence sector and am a Men’s Behavioural Change program group facilitator.
